I work on digital technologies and on their broader implications for policy, law, and business. This includes both engineering research — for example, to develop improved techniques to design electronic circuits or to transmit wireless data — as well as interdisciplinary work that examines how information technology is impacting business (through big data, cloud computing, analytics, cybersecurity, and the Internet of Things), law (by raising important questions in areas including intellectual property and constitutional law), and public policy (through the many technology-related questions facing government at the national, state, and local levels).
